Who Did It?

Apple and AT&T are both claiming to have nothing to do with the decision to deny Google's Voice application from the App Store. This story continues to intrigue me, because now they've basically come to the conclusion that nobody is responsible for telling Google no (the first mistake).

Adam Ostrow writes:

Apple says that “contrary to published reports, Apple has not rejected the Google Voice application, and continues to study it.”

The key points from AT&T’s statement: says “Let me state unequivocally, AT&T had no role in any decision by Apple to not accept the Google Voice application for inclusion in the Apple App Store … AT&T was not asked about the matter by Apple at any time, nor did we offer any view one way or the other.”

I'm now curious who they suppose is responsible for denying the Google Voice app. This will continue to get more interesting, I believe.

If you're not well informed, or just haven't read my earlier blog post about the FCC getting involved, I suggest you take a gander at that. Or, head over to Mashable to read the latest full story.
